Daycare Attendant/Play Floor Staff - Part Time

Wee Little Paws Inn, an indoor/outdoor facility for the smaller dog located in Deer Park, which provides dog daycare, boarding, grooming, and training is searching for a part time play floor staff/daycare attendant. Must have flexible schedule and open to work holidays, our shifts are either 6:30am to 12pm or 1pm to 7pm. Must be able to handle and clean up after large group of dogs. No overnight shifts. Must have a positive attitude and be responsible, honest, reliable, and punctual. Multi-tasking ability is a must. Self-starter. Animal lover. General kennel cleaning skills required. Great opportunity for the right person!

Required Qualifications:

1) Minimum of 3 references (no family or friends)
2) Minimum of 6 months in related field
3) Enthusiastic and outgoing personality and a positive up-beat attitude toward our dogs and customers.
4) Responsible
5) Experience with handling large groups of dogs
6) Attentive to the needs of the dogs, react accordingly to situations that may arise during playgroup
7) Dependable and on-time with good work history
8) Able to be the "leader of the pack" and maintain order among a large group of dogs.
9) Understand dog behavior, non-verbal cues, and posture.
10) Energetic and able to exercise and play with dogs for extended periods of time.
11) Physically able to handle medium-duty cleaning, handling dogs, picking up after dogs.
12) Must be able to work in a team environment and respect your co-workers
13) Reliable transportation.
14) Able to be on your feet throughout the shift as well as bending to clean equipment
15) Able to lift 50 lbs
16) Able to work weekends, holidays and evenings
